Dried Fish, Stockfish
We offer stockfish mainly of Cod, but also of Saithe, Ling, Tusk and Haddock. The fish are hung to dry during the autumn and spring and are available for our customers in January/February (autumn hung fish) and in July (fish hung during the spring).
Most famous for it's use in Bacalao, stockfish can be used in a variety of dishes. "Lutefisk", a traditional, local dish, is prepared by soaking the stockfish in lye.
