Stockfish from Kårhamn
In Kårhamn stockfish is produced from mainly cod, saithe and tusk. The main season for cod is from February to April when the fish is put up to dry on large racks. The same racks are used for drying saithe and tusk from September to December. Stockfish has been produced in Kårhamn for generations and still represents our most important product for export. The markets are Italy, Croatia, Nigeria, the USA and the UK.
