The very best quality stockfish from Finnmark is called Prima Finnmarken. This fish is an exclusive product for stockfish connoisseurs all over the world. Prima Finnmarken is produced only from the best quality cod and is available for export from August through December.

Grading
All Finnmarken stockfish is graded according to quality and weight criteria. For cod the fish is sorted in first (prima) second,and third quality and the respective weight ranges are  200/400 – 400/6 00– 600/800 and 800+ . Saithe and tusk are sorted in first and second qualities and graded according to length in centimeters; 20/40  - 30/50 – 40/60
